MUMBAI, August 3: Seven rated players were held to draws in the second round of the Maharashtra State Selection Classical chess tournament organised by the Bombay Chess Association at Bhosale Sports Complex.

Awate, Mikal, Rodrigues, Burke, Pradeep Paranjpe, who defeated A N Iyer, U N GhateHemantkumar Mandhare of Satara, Prasad Deshmukh, Prakash Date, G Balaji, Kartik Vishwanath, S Gopal of Pune, S J Sabnis and Mahesh Bhintade of Satara are jointly in lead with two points each.
