A Government Railway Police team has returned to Vadodara on Tuesday after interrogating about 250 passengers who were on board the Awadh Express when it caught fire in the early hours of Monday. However, Forensic Directorate officials are yet to reach the Vadodara Railway Yard where the five charred coaches are being kept.

Though investigating officials refused to comment over the possible cause of the fire, they did say there was nothing abnormal about incident and the blaze seemed to have spread after some luggage caught fire near the S-10 coach8217;s toilet. Forensic Directorate sources said officials from Gandhinagar could not examine the coaches as it was raining.
