When Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde assumed office last year, he decided not to house his office in the Shram Shakti Bhavan room traditionally reserved for the minister. The reason was that two ministers who occupied that room had passed away while in harness. Whether it was superstition or vaastu, the room would not do for Shinde and a big lock hung on the door of the room. Last week, the lock was off. One saw Power Secretary Anil Razdan sitting inside. Discreet inquiries revealed that this was also a temporary measure. The secretary8217;s office8212;adjacent to the minister8217;s office8212;was being refurbished.
