CHANDIGARH, May 29: The Punjabi Kalakar Sanstha, a group of artists headed by well-known theatre personality Harpal Tiwana, will hold a national conference of artists from various fields on June 29. The event to be held at Tagore Theatre will focus on the art forms of Punjab.

At a press conference, the Sanstha president Tiwana announced that an evening in memory of their guiding light, Balwinder Kaur who passed away last November, would also be organised along with the conference. Tiwana and Dara Singh brought attention on the lack of a cultural policy in the state and stressed that traditional art forms were slowly disappearing from their strongholds.
