The leaders who attended the roundtable meet at Srinagar

Congress: The party favours overall development of the state with khushaal and behtar Kashmiris as its new slogan. Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, PCC chief and state Youth Services and Sports minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed and Union Water Resources Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz represented the party at the meet.

National Conference: The party which vouches for J-K’s autonomy was represented by patron and former CM Dr Farooq Abdullah, MP and party chief Omar Abdullah.

PDP: An important constituent in the coalition government, the party advocates self-rule and withdrawal of troops. Patron and former CM Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Deputy CM and senior vice-president Muzaffar Hussain Baig and party chief Mehbooba Mufti represented the party.

PDF: The party comprises of independent MLAs supporting the coalition government. Consumer Affairs Minister Hakeem Yasin and former counter insurgent turned politician Osman Majid.

CPI(M): The party favours more cross-border interaction between the people of India and Pakistan. General secretary and MLA Mohammad Yosuf Targami.

CPI: Abdul Rehman Takroo, MLC and leader of the party.

Phari Forum: A semi government organisation working for upliftment of the Phari community. Advocate Shabir Khan, vice-chairman of Phari Advisory Board.

Kargil Hill Council: The autonomous body was represented by its chairman and Shia cleric Asghar Karbalai.

Panun Kashmir: The organisation of displaced Kashmiri Hindus, now fighting for a separate homeland for Pandits, was there in the form of convener Agni Shekhar, president Ajay Charngoo.
