The Army has denied that it has ordered a 8216;8216;court of inquiry8217;8217; to verify the professional qualification of its Judge Advocate-General JAG, Maj Gen Nilendra Kumar.

Describing a report that appeared two days ago in The Indian Express as 8216;8216;factually incorrect8217;8217;, the Army spokesman said that complaints made by an officer of the JAG branch, Maj A.K. Chandra, against Kumar have 8216;8216;all been examined and found baseless8217;8217;.

As such, the question of ordering a court of inquiry in this regard, the spokesman said, did not arise at all.
