
BANGALORE, SEPT 16: Arjun Singh jumped into the lead with a two-day tally of five-under 139, on a day when most golfers struggled to break par at the Rs six lakh Wills Southern Open, being played at the par-72, 6945-yard Karnataka Golf Association Golf Course here today.
Vishal Singh claimed second spot with a two-day aggregate of three-under 141. Jyoti Randhawa at two-under 142 was third. Arjun Singh was consistent again, carding two-under 70 when the others were struggling to break even. The cut was applied at 13-over and 55 professionals and four amateurs made it to the final two rounds.
Ashok, Jaitha lead
CHENNAI: Country8217;s No 1 junior, Ashok Kumar of Delhi and Pune8217;s Amish Jaitha, the former firing the lone sub-par score of one under 71 and the latter parring the par 72 Cosmopolitan Golf Course, enabled them to emerge joint leaders with first round leader Harinder Singh Kang of Chandigarh with the best two round score of146.
