Apparel dons a winner

PUNE, Aug 13: Second favourite Apparel8217; trained by Z Darshan and well-ridden by Aslam Kader claimed the Independence Gold Cup, the main event of the races, held at Mysore today.

The winner is owned by Mr D Khaitan. Trainer Z Darashah scored a treble, while trainer R Foley, jockeys KPG Appu, Aslam Kader and J Abraham scored a brace each.

Four favourites obliged punters in a card of six events.
