Another student kidnapped in Bihar

Even as kindergarten student Ankit, kidnapped from Patna around two months ago, remains traceless, a Class III student was lifted at gun-point in Saharsa town in North Bihar while on his way to school this morning.

According to reports, nine-year-old Pratik was on his way to school in the morning accompanied by a domestic help when three motorcycle borne criminals intercepted them and fled with the boy at gun-point. The boy is son of businessman Prashant Kumar Gupta in Saharsa. Police said ransom seems to be the motive behind the kidnapping. An FIR has been lodged with the Sadar police station.

8220;Raids are on and I am personally looking into the case. We have rounded up three persons for interrogation and are hopeful that the boy will be recovered safely,8221; Saharsa SP Kunwar Singh said.

Meanwhile, police continues to grope in the dark regarding the whereabouts of Ankit, kidnapped from the Alamganj area of Patna on April 12. Earlier, the boy8217;s servant Balram Paswan 8212; said to have masterminded the kidnapping 8212; was arrested and he claimed that he had killed the boy.
