Remember those Hollywood moments? The ones where characters would walk into a supermarket and you would marvel at the stacks of packaged chocolates, cereals, crispies and drinks. The fruits looked glossier and the vegetable fresher. Well, thanks to local establishments like Food Bazars, Spencers and likes, the sight of an abundantly-stocked supermarket may not be all that alien to us, but they never lived up to the Hollywood standards. Somehow, the cereal boxes looked smaller and the fruits less glossy.

But the ongoing American Food Festival at the Spencer8217;s, South City, ensures that there one gets a wholesome 8220;Hollywood8221; supermarket experience. Piles of Hershey8217;s maple syrup stare down at you as you maneuver your strolley around walls of cereal boxes. But piece de reacute;sistance is the piles of luscious prunes, which the US Consul general, Beth Payne, claims- 8220;Prunes form one of the major ingredients in American food and eating prunes have several advantages.8221;

Payne, who visited Spencer8217;s to check out the festival was visibly impressed by the arrangement. And why not, after all Spencer8217;s has partnered with Food Export Association of the Midwest USA and Food Export USA 8211; Northwest, private non-profit associations representing US food and suppliers based in 22 states.

Shoppers can buy their stock of popular American brands from Spencer8217;s South City, till December 21
