
The employees of Citi India Chandigarh branch will join thousands of their colleagues worldwide for the company8217;s third annual 8216;Global Community Day8217; on Saturday, November 8. More than 1,500 employees across 28 towns and cities, including that from the City Beautiful, will dedicate their time and talents to a wide spectrum of community development initiatives addressing specific needs including education, housing, environmental protection, child welfare, senior citizen support, disaster relief and healthcare. Citi India, in association with Youth Technical Training Centre, will spend quality time with children in various slum areas and invite them to share their dreams. Avdhesh Mahajan will lead the social activities on behalf of Citi India in Chandigarh. Recognising that many Citi employees volunteer year-round in their communities, Global Community Day celebrates Citi8217;s volunteer spirit through a one-day global campaign. 8220;Volunteerism is a key aspect of our corporate citizenship globally and in India.
