CHANDIGARH, Sept 26: Agro Tech India Limited has been renamed Graintec after a group of NRI investors took over the unit under a scheme of rehabilitation sanctioned by BIFR. A statement issued by M.B.S. Sandhu, executive director of the company, today said new investors had already infused fresh equity of Rs 11 crore. Located at Budhewal at Ludhiana, Graintech has paddy milling capacity of 720 tonnes per day, apart from a capacity of 100 tonnes for vanaspati and refined oils.

Punjab MoU with Ashok Leyland
The Punjab government has signed an MoU with Ashok Leyland to set up a Driving Training Institute at Rajpura. The institute, located 60 kms from Chandigarh on the G.T. Road, has been given by the Punjab government on land lease. The MoU was signed at Delhi on Friday by K.B.S. Sidhu, Director, State Transport, Punjab, and Amol Shandil, Executive Director, Marketing, Ashok Leyland.
