Aero Quiz8217;98 held

The teams were given cash prizes of Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000, Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 respectively. UT Finance Secretary G. Vajralingam was the chief guest on the occasion.

Prizes were also given to toppers of the essay writing and painting competition held earlier.

The winners of the painting competition are Senior: Lovemeena Army Public School, Chandimandir, Junior: Rashi Sharma Sacred Heart, Chandigarh, Sub-Junior: P. Muthi.

Winners of the essay writing competition are Senior: Yash Kirat Singh Kendriya Vidalaya, Sector 31, Junior: Kanika Aggarwal Sacred Heart.

Carmel girl wins: As many as 140 members of Marga8217;s Global Kids from different schools participated in the Lions Peace Poster Contest organised by Leo Club Chandigarh Plaza. Following are the prizes in order of merit:
Group I: Bharti Sharma Carmel Convent; Jaanasheen St John8217;s High School; Nidhi DAV Public School, Sector 15. Ishaan Wadhwa and Bismark of St John8217;s High School won first and second consolation prizes respectively.
Group II: Mukul Sharma St Kabir School; Chetna Pathria Carmel Convent; Nivedita Kumar Stepping Stones. I.S. Rai Kanwar St John8217;s High School bagged the consolation prize.
