Additional charge for pass-holders

VADODARA, Aug 23: Following the Railway Board8217;s decision to upgrade the 2963/2964 Sayajinagari Express into a superfast8217;, season ticket holders will now have to pay Rs 10 each time they board the train.

Divisional Railway Manager K C Jena said that as per the Board8217;s guidelines, any train running at or above 55 kmph was a superfast . The monthly pass currently costs Rs 275 and entitles holders to travel in any express train without paying an extra charge. A member of the Rail Road Passengers8217; Association said the fact that the additional amount would not be collected at one go was an added headache.
