
Assistant Inspector from Mumbai Police Crime Branch Dilip Kamat and Telgi8217;s lawyer Abdul Rashid Kulkarni today moved separate applications before the MCOCA court accusing Special Public Prosecutor Raja Thakare of providing misleading information to the court.
While Kulkarni had urged the court to send a reference to the High Court seeking action against Thakare under Contempt of Court Act, Kamat has prayed for action against Thakare the CrPC.
Kamath also moved an application seeking the copies of the confessional statement given by alleged racket members Jamir Sanadi and Sajid Ali alias Sajju which had been referred to by Thakare during earlier hearings.
Thakare said he had not provided false or misleading information to the court. Kulkarni had submitted a separate application challenging Thakare8217;s appointment as Special Public Prosecutor on legal grounds. Thakare argued that he was on the panel of prosecutors representing the State Government and CBI.
