MUMBAI, FEB 6: A senior jailer of the Arthur Road Jail and a constable were trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Saturday for accepting a bribe from one of the inmates kin.
The police said, the complainant, whose name has been withheld, had received permission from the court to supply home cooked food to his relative in jail. However, when he went to the jail with the tiffin, he was asked a bribe of Rs 600 by the constable Chandrakant Pote (30). This included a Rs 500 bribe to be paid to senior jailer Maruti Chavan (50).
