The All Assam Students8217; Union AASU on Thursday came down heavily on the UPA government for amending the Foreigners Tribunal Order of 1964, applicable only for Assam, and also accused the Congress of working against the security of the country by safeguarding the interests of the Bangladeshi migrants.

The AASU also said that it would fight the amendment of the Foreigners Tribunal Order, with agitational programmes beginning with burning of copies of the amendment in the state from Friday.
