5 held for violence

CHANDIGARH, Sep 14: Following a clash between two groups, residents of the same neighbourhood in Sector 15, the police have arrested five persons on the charges of rioting, assault and criminal intimidation.

Separate cases have been filed against Sita Ram, Rakesh Kumar and Suresh Kumar on one side and Anil Kumar and Mukesh Chauhan on the other for creating pandemonium and assaulting each other with hockey sticks and sharp edged weapons. The five arrested were produced in court and remanded to judicial custody today, sources said.
