Emergency services were still looking for 20 people on Sunday after a gas explosion tore through an apartment block in central Ukraine, killing 10 people and injuring 24, an Emergencies Ministry official said. Several explosions in succession struck a residential area of the city of Dnipropetrovsk on Saturday, the largest sending rubble cascading down on residents in a large block of flats.

“There are still 20 people that we are looking for,” the official said.

The 20 were reported by relatives as missing and it was unclear whether they were in the apartment block during the explosions or were just unaccounted for.
