A fake friendship club operating from Karol Bagh was on Saturday busted by the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch. Eleven persons, among them four women aged between 20-30 years, have been arrested.

The gang had been running the SN Net Special Friendship Club for the past couple of years. The police said registration for women was free and that they advertised in newspapers with phone numbers procured on the basis of faked documents. “The gang used to charge Rs 3,000 to 10,000 per month from clients and promised the contact numbers of women who were willing to be friends,” a police officer said.

“After the money was received, one of the four women would entertain the customers on the telephone for some time. All efforts were made to squeeze out more money from the callers. After the caller became insistent on meeting the promised girl, his calls were invariably rejected,” the officer said.
