Priyanka Chopra Jonas is known for her elegance and glamour on and off-screen. But her luscious hair, fit physique, and glowy bronzed skin aren’t just because of genetics; they are a result of significant effort on her part.
In a recent chat with Elle Magazine, the Citadel actor revealed that she is a “beauty fiend” and is always trying new skincare hacks. She shared that icing her face is a crucial part of her beauty routine and that she loves dunking her face in a bowl of ice “old school style.” Using “beer eggs as a super conditioner for her hair” is another hack she swears by. There’s more.
When asked what the most bizarre thing she had ever tried was, Priyanka Chopra said, “Hemorrhoid cream for under your eyes. It’s weird, but it works.”
Curious, we asked an expert if they approved of this remedy.

Puffiness under the eyes can be embarrassing and discomforting, for which many people try home remedies such as cucumber or placing tea bags on the eyes.
When asked if it is safe to apply hemorrhoid cream under the eyes, Dr Shareefa Chause, dermatologist and cosmetologist, Shareefa’s Skin Care Clinic, Apollo Spectra Hospital, Chembur and Criticare Asia Hospital, Kurla, said that using hemorrhoid cream to treat eye puffiness can do more harm than good. “While the cream claims to help reduce puffiness, no studies are available to corroborate it. I haven’t come across anyone using a hemorrhoid cream. It is not something we recommend,” she told indianexpress.com.
Not only is it the weirdest thing to do, but she also shared that it is not the best idea to use any cream without your doctor’s knowledge or just because everyone is using it. Instead, she recommended that “patients opt for chemical peels, laser resurfacing, and fillers when dealing with under-eye puffiness.”
The hemorrhoid cream contains ingredients such as phenylephrine, which are known to narrow blood vessels and reduce swelling but are not recommended for all. “If you accidentally get some in your eye, the ingredients can cause burning and redness. It can also cause allergy and redness if used without the doctor’s advice,” Dr Chause said, repeatedly warning against applying this cream anywhere near the eye.
