From what keeps her motivated to why she stopped intermittent fasting, Masaba Gupta reveals it all
On being asked about her weekly workout routine, the Masaba Masaba actor, who is often seen working out, also revealed her entire regime

Masaba Gupta doesn’t believe in mincing her words when it comes to expressing her thoughts. The same was evident in a quick ‘Ask-me-Anything’ session that she recently hosted on social media.
Though the session lasted for only about 15 minutes, since she had to “head to the airport”, the ace fashion designer made sure to take some interesting questions from her followers and answer them honestly.
“I have 15 minutes before I head to the airport. Quick Q&A? Been a while! Go!” she wrote on Instagram Stories.

To begin with, on being asked if she followed intermittent fasting — an eating pattern in which one has timely meals within an eating window and fast at other times — she revealed that though she followed it for a while, she stopped doing it as it was not making her feel good.
“I stopped fasting because I couldn’t. I was constantly hungry. I was acidic. I wasn’t feeling good. Usually, when I fast, I feel good. But I wasn’t feeling good for the last one year. Then, I was talking to this amazing doctor who told me that if you are burned out, overworked, and stressed out, it is not good to be fasting. It is better to be on a regular, normal eating plan. That made a lot of sense,” she recalled.

She continued, “I feel like you have to listen to your body and only fast if it is something that works for you. It worked for me initially. I lost the weight and now I can keep the weight down. I can just be consistent with my workouts to get the same results. And also be able to do the work that I am meant to do.”
Next, on being asked to share her weekly workout routine, the Masaba Masaba actor, who is often seen working out, also revealed her entire routine.

“Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, I do yoga where I concentrate on hip openers and spinal mobility, which is a problem area I want to work on. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays is when I do functional, strength training. And Fridays, I do Pilates,” she shared.
But what motivates her to work out?
My number 1 motivation to workout is that I love to eat. “I don’t want to diet; I don’t believe in them. I want to eat everything, but I also want to make sure that I’m burning enough of it. The second thing is that I feel like it just helps me focus on work. I am able to have lot more clarity, lot more focus, get a lot more done in a day when I have done a workout because it is almost like I have my blinkers on when I do my workout. So, it just helps me be better at what I do,” she elaborated.
And what keeps her motivated in life?

The 33-year-old said that she has a “great fear” of being mediocre. “Apart from that, I want to create a legacy, and leave behind a legacy that lasts much beyond me,” she shared.
Masaba also shared that her favourite fruit is grapes.

On another user’s question on how she manages frizzy hair, she said, “I oil my hair 2-3 times a week with olive oil which really works for me. Apart from that, I think curly hair just always needs to be hydrated, so I make sure that I use a lot of leave-in-conditioner, I use honey-infused hair oil post wash. I only brush my hair when I have tonnes of conditioner on in the shower. And have gummies.”
