Neha Dhupia lashes out at trolls for criticising her morning run: ‘That video was all over’
"I was literally the only one who got up at 6.30 in the morning and went for a run," said Neha Dhupia

Neha Dhupia slammed trolls for criticising her morning run. In the comments section of a paparazzi video that has gone viral, the actor was called out for her running pace and weight. Opening up, she said, “I had gone for a run the other day. That video was all over. I got trolled for my body, my way of running, but I was literally the only one who got up at 6.30 in the morning and went for a run.”
The 44-year-old further told Bollywood Bubble, “I was doing something about my life. Do all the comments make a difference such that I don’t get up the next morning and don’t take the same route? Of course, I am going to do it. Because I know what it has done to me. I know it has done me good. I am going to make a difference to myself.”
Previously, too, in one of her Instagram posts, the Bad Newz actor expressed, “The one thing I have always loved to do is run … whether I am happy or sad or free or busy 🏃 …. I would always crave a run and this never meant that I was good or fast or athletic it only meant I would listen to my mind and my body and decide my strength and pace on that day and set myself free …”.
Way to deal with anxiety, trolls
Dealing with significant anxiety owing to trolls and toxic people while going through a day can get challenging for some, said Dr Santosh Bangar, senior consultant psychiatrist, Gleneagles Hospital, Parel. “Navigating anxiety can be overwhelming as each day feels like a new set of challenges that are difficult to accomplish. This emotional uncertainty not only affects mental health but also physical well-being, for example, long sleepless nights, overthinking, restlessness, and racing heartbeat,” added Dr Bangar.
What can help?
Dr Munia Bhattacharya, senior consultant psychologist at Marengo Asia Hospital, Gurugram, noted that people should prioritise healthy lifestyles that include frequent exercise, a balanced diet, and enough sleep rather than reacting to trolls, being carried away, or taking a step back.

“Maintaining relationships with family and friends and creating robust social support networks are crucial. Participating in community events and maintaining an active physical lifestyle might help one feel less stressed and more supported. People can increase their resilience and sustain improved mental and physical health by focusing on themselves,” said Dr Bhattacharya.
