People choose to celebrate their birthdays in unique ways and it was so for actor Harleen Sethi too. The Broken But Beautiful actor, who turned 31 recently, penned a heartwarming note on being grateful and trying not to disconnect with herself to connect with others.

Sharing a couple of pictures from her quiet but unique celebrations this year, she said, “It was a different kind of birthday. Long drive, great weather, mountains, lots of cheese chilli toast and coffee of course …I put my phone on aeroplane mode at 12 am cos I had a beautiful day of just seeing the leaves, hearing my own breath, feeling the cold breeze on my skin, just sitting in my balcony watching the clouds pass by, hearing varied sounds of forest insects, watching a hungry monkey trying to get onto our tree house looking for food, swimming in the pool which had the temperature set at 28 degrees and just walking in the woods.”

She continued, “I did not want to disconnect from myself in order to connect with others…This birthday was about being grateful for the abundance, about being in the present moment and therefore the unavailability to the world… So here’s a little thank you to everyone who took out some time to call/msg me and send in their good wishes.. feeling blessed”.
