Cops want SPP to take up rape case of minor

The Anand police has sought a special public prosecutor to try a school bus conductor of a private school in Anand, arrested for alleged sexual assault of a five-year-old kindergarten student, late on Wednesday. The police said the conductor, identified as Hasmukh Makwana, has confessed that he was sexually abusing the child for three days in order to “enjoy penetration”.

According to the police, the student regularly travels to her private school located on the Bakrol-Vadtal road, on which the accused Makwana, 40, is a conductor. On Wednesday, the girl returned from school as usual but her mother discovered injuries on her body.
