Fifty-one of 180 students of R N Podar High School,Mumbai, scored a perfect 10 cumulative grade point average (CGPA). Principal Avnita Bir,however, said the school was witnessing a downturn due to introduction of the comprehensive continuous examination (CCE) model.
Last year,we had 62 students scoring a 10. This may be because with internal testing and project marking, which now make a big different in final assessment,we are getting moderated results, she said.
The CCE model lays emphasis on cognitive thinking rather than a paper-pencil approach.
