“The striped tiger presence in the area indicates the level of protection, quality of wildlife habitat and management practices in the national park are of high levels,” a statement released by the National Park said.
The GFP, a constituent of the BJP-led government in the state, had expressed its opposition to the advertisements, saying the exclusion of the domicile clause would lead to non-Goans applying for all the 80-odd vacancies.

Panji, Feb 08 (ANI): A colourful carnival drew hundreds of tourists in Panaji city. International and local artists mersmerised people with their performances and paraded on the streets. Goa Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar said Goa has invited 12 artists from the U.K. and South Africa for the four-day long carnival. Colourful tableaus were paraded on the streets on the third day of the carnival, depicting the cultural heritage of Goa and the influence of Portuguese culture. Appreciating Lt. Gen. Jacob he said that he was a straight forward man and his contributions played a very vital role in the development of the country. He further asserted that he developed good relations with him when he was governor of Goa. Lt. Gen. Jacob, 92, passed away on Wednesday morning following a 13-days illness.
