Adarsh report in ongoing Assembly session: CM

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan reiterated Tuesday commitment to place the Adarsh Commission report in the state legislature in the ongoing monsoon session.

Revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat said,The General Administration Department is looking into the process and the report will be tabled in the Assembly soon.

Leader of opposition in the Assembly Eknath Khadse said,Why is the government withholding the document when it is already in its possession?

The report was handed over to the Chief Minister on the last day of the budget session three months ago.

State BJP president Devendra Fadnavis,The government is delaying tabling the report as it does not want a thorough debate on the controversy. It fears several politicians and bureaucrats will be exposed.
