Election Results Haryana: Wrestler-turned-politician Vinesh Phogat secured victory in the Julana assembly constituency today. Speaking to the media, she expressed her gratitude to the people for their support and confidence in the Congress forming a government in Haryana.

"This was a people's battle, and they've won and I was just a face. I am thankful to all the love and respect that I've received," she said.

On Congress trailing behind BJP, she said: "Let's wait for the final results. I am sure Congress will definitely win."

Election Results Haryana: JJP's Dushyant Chautala is trailing in the Uchana Kalan constituency, having secured 5,099 votes after 9 rounds of counting, placing him in sixth position.

Meanwhile, Brijendra Singh of the Congress is leading in Uchana Kalan with 28,547 votes.

However, the polls appear to be a straight contest between the BJP and the Congress, with exit polls predicting a washout for other parties.

Congress candidate from Kaithal, Aditya Surjewala, stated today that the people of Haryana are fed up with the “corrupt government” and expressed confidence that Congress would win 70 seats.

"Over the past year, when I visiting every street and neighbourhood of Kaithal, and meeting people here, everyone here wanted change. They are fed up of this corrupt government and this government of hatred. I know that Congress will provide that change. Exit polls have predicted 60 seats, I am confident of winning 70 seats," he said.

The candidates contesting for the Kaithal constituency are Sandeep Garhi from the JJP, Satbir Singh Goyat from the AAP, and Leela Ram from the BJP.

All India Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed confidence on Monday that his party would come to power in Haryana and that the Congress, along with its alliance partner the National Conference, would form the government in Jammu and Kashmir. The results of both assembly elections will be announced on October 8.

"Earlier too we had said that in Haryana and Jammu Kashmir, the Congress government will be formed. In Jammu and Kashmir, Congress and NC (National Conference) alliance will form the government, and in Haryana Congress government will be formed," Kharge said.

Sirsa MP Kumari Selja expressed confidence on Monday that Congress will win over 60 seats in the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. She stated that the party's high command would make the final decision on the chief ministerial candidate, ensuring that the choice is acceptable to everyone.

"The CLP meeting takes place and the views of MLAs are taken, but the high command takes the final decision (on CM candidate) and that is the tradition in the party."

She further said, "There is nothing like a game. It is more in the media. This speculation will remain till the final announcement is made." "Neither I nor anyone else can say anything on this (CM candidate) and this will be known after the high command's announcement. Whatever decision the high command takes, it will be acceptable to all.
