The INLD leader lamented the “inadequate and unjust nature” of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna while accusing the government of making the farmers run from pillar to post for claims of the insurance and even then getting inadequate compensation.
The trouble started when Dalal expressed his unhappiness over a minister's reply to his supplementary questions on the Calling Attention motion over alleged deletion of some ration cards belonging to the poor.
The announcements regarding farmers seem part of INLD’s strategy to emerge a strong political force in the khapland at a time when the peasants are facing tough times because of agricultural turning to be a non-profitable occupation.
Abhay Singh Chautala accused the state government and its ministers of trying to mislead the people “by making false statements regarding the personal appeals of the Chief Minister to him to withdraw the current campaign”. He also denied the claims of a cabinet minister Rambilas Sharma that the CM had spoken to him regarding this issue.
Chautala attacked former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda stating that the decision was taken at a time “when it was clear as daylight that the Congress would be ousted from power by the discerning people of Haryana”.
