Public-sector banks (PSBs) and private banking institutions will be closed today, on Tuesday, August 19, on account of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, following the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 2025 holiday calendar.

Bank holidays in India are determined by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the Negotiable Instruments Act, which includes RTGS holidays and other regional and national holidays, in addition to the mandatory weekly days off on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.
