Pencil colour shavings made into colourful images

Aren’t shavings of colour pencils considered a waste? Well, not for Meghan Maconochie. She is a South African school teacher and an artist. She creates trextured images drawn from pop culture references. She actively posts on Instagram and has got more than 22,000 followers.

She first draws an outline of the image and then adds a thin layer of shavings on the outline.

As mentioned in Instagram Blog, she then layers up drawing so it has more of a sculptural look to it.
