Chandrachur Singh, known for his work in films like Maachis, Josh and Daag: The Fire, discussed with Indianexpress.com about the way the creator of the show Madhvani works. He said the actors were referred to by the names of their characters. "On the sets of Aarya, we were addressed as our characters, both, on and off camera. That was Ram’s way of keeping us in character. When we walked on the set, we were addressed like ‘Tej walks on the set’ or ‘Aarya walks on the set’. Everyone on the set was so passionate that we just had to feed off each other’s energy. Also, all the tears and everything that you see in the series is real. There is no glycerine used. It is like one long scene happening, so you get involved in it entirely,” the actor said.

A Twitter user called @Atheist_Krishna wrote, "#Aarya is going to create a revolution in Indian Web series. Astounded to see so many big screen actors working together for a web series."

Aarya's creator Ram Madhvani says in this promo of the series that he and other members of the creative team have invested in Sushmita both as an actress and as a person. He added that he and others grew up watching her and they found her comeback 'fascinating'. Sushmita's co-stars also praised her for making the switch to web series medium like she had done that all her life.
