Made in Heaven season 2 trailer: There’s trouble in paradise for Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur as Prime Video series goes international
Made in Heaven 2 trailer: The second season of the show, starring Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala as wedding planners with complicated personal lives, will be released on Prime Video on August 10, four years after season one.

Prime Video unveiled the trailer for season two of its drama series Made in Heaven, which is set to return with a new batch of episodes four full years after season one. The acclaimed series, created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, tells the story of a team of wedding planners working in and around New Delhi.
Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur return as Tara Khanna and Karan Mehra, whose must learn to adapt to their new status quo, and the repercussions of the previous season’s events on their personal and professional lives. The first season took an almost anthology approach, focusing on a new wedding in each episode, and featuring several guest stars. But Tara and Karan’s parallel storylines formed the overarching narrative of the show. The second season will feature actors Mrunal Thakur, Radhika Apte and Shibani Dandekar, Dia Mirza, Sameer Soni and Sanjay Kapoor as guest actors.

The new season introduces characters played by Vijay Raaz, who drops by to remind Tara and Karan that their business isn’t turning a profit, and Mona Singh, who appears as a brash auditor. Tensions swell as Tara and Karan argue over the company, while at the same time struggling with personal battles. Karan’s mother wants him to marry, but doesn’t know that he is gay. Tara, on the other hand, is dealing with the aftermath of her split from Jim Sarbh’s character in the first season.
Prime Video’s official synopsis for the new season reads: “Financial challenges, a depleted client roster, and a crumbling bungalow for an office forces wedding planners Tara Khanna and Karan Mehra to adapt to a new uncomfortable status quo. With repercussions being felt in their personal lives as well, the pair continue to deliver fairy-tale weddings. But beneath the glitz and glamour of Delhi weddings lie prejudices that are as deep-rooted as its traditions.”
While the first season was directed by Zoya, Alankrita Shrivastava, Prashant Nair and Nitya Mehra, Prashant (who has since helmed Netflix’s Trial By Fire recently), will be replaced in season two by Neeraj Ghaywan, who is best known for Masaan, the short film Geeli Pucchi, and his work on the second season of Sacred Games.
The show also stars Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Trinetra Haldar, Ishwak Singh. The second season of Made in Heaven will debut on Prime Video on August 10, ahead of the Independence Day weekend, and a day before Netflix releases the spy thriller Heart of Stone, starring Gal Gadot and Alia Bhatt.
