Aarya 3 trailer: Bloodied but unbent, Sushmita Sen goes all out to save her children. Will she be third time lucky?

While running the business as a ‘lioness’, Sushmita also brings out the softer aspect of her character, as she protects her children, friends and family, at any cost.

Based on the Spanish original ‘Penoza’, the slick crime thriller showcased the transformation of a mother (Sushmita) into a don, due to unforeseen circumstances. The first two seasons of the show got impeccable responses from critics and viewers alike. The first season was even nominated for Best Drama series at the International Emmy Awards.

Earlier in a statement, Sushmita had described the intentions of her character, Aarya, as she said, “It’s an honor to step back into her shoes for Aarya Season 3. This season explores the profound power of Aarya, as she strikes down her enemies and begins to create an empire of her own, while grappling with the threats to her loved ones. Aarya’s story is a testament to a woman who defies life’s constraints and will go to any lengths to protect the ones close to her.” She added that for her, Aarya 3 isn’t just a show but “an emotional journey that fills me with love and pride.”

Sushmita went through rigorous preparation before shooting for the third season of the thriller series. She learnt the Indian martial art form Kalaripayattu. It was during the shoot of Aarya 3 that Sushmita suffered from a heart attack. However, she recovered soon and returned to the shoot in no time.

Helmed by Ram Madhvani, Aarya 3 will start streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on.. It also stars Vikas Kumar, Sikander Kher, and Vinod Rawat, among others in pivotal roles.
