The much-anticipated teaser of Vrusshabha, the upcoming period epic starring Mohanlal, has finally dropped, and as fans had hoped, it promises scale, spectacle, and grand emotions. From the very first frame, the teaser sets the tone for a visually grand narrative, transporting viewers to a sprawling ancient empire that, at moments, might remind some of Baahubali.

The teaser opens with the birth of a child, followed by sweeping glimpses of kingdoms, wars, and a fierce Mohanlal single-handedly taking on a massive battalion of armed soldiers. The actor is shown in the avatar of a formidable warrior king, exuding power and presence in every frame.

However, it’s the final moments of the teaser that bring an unexpected emotional twist. Mohanlal is seen resting in the arms of a young man, likely his son, suggesting a potential shift in time periods or perhaps, a reincarnation angle. This speculation is further supported by the film’s tagline: “Reborn Love: A love so strong, it defies death.”

Directed by Nanda Kishore, known for his work on Pogaru and Brihaspathi, Vrusshabha is jointly produced by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms. The film is set to explore the deep, emotional bond between a father and his son, all wrapped in an epic backdrop of action and drama. Mohanlal took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the teaser with fans, writing: “The wait ends here, a film that’s very close to my heart. Welcome to the World of #Vrusshabha. 2025 has already been a landmark year for Mohanlal. His films L2: Empuraan and Thudarum both emerged as massive box office successes, ranking as the highest-grossing Malayalam films of the year. However, his last release Hridayapoorvam, which clashed with Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, couldn’t quite meet expectations at the box office. Despite that, it still managed to become the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025.

Now, with Vrusshabha, all eyes are once again on Mohanlal. Whether it continues Mohanlal’s golden streak remains to be seen — but one thing is certain: anticipation is sky-high.
