Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares cryptic post after announcing one-year break, calls last six months ‘hardest’

Samantha Ruth Prabhu suffers from an auto-immune disease, myositis, which affects her muscles leading to severe pain. Earlier, her publicist, Mahendra, told indianexpress.com that the actor will take a break from acting to get the treatment for the same.

He said, “It’s true that Samantha won’t be taking on any new projects for one year as she is all set to leave for USA for the treatment of her autoimmune condition, myositis. If her condition improves earlier than expected, she may return within six months. However, the planned duration of her break is one year. She is already making good progress in her recovery, and her doctors have advised her to take mandatory rest. Samantha will depart for the US in the fourth week of August (Aug. 20).”

Apart from Kushi, Samantha will also be seen in the Indian spin-off of Amazon Prime Video web series Citadel. She also has Hollywood film Chennai Story, an adaptation of Timeri N Murari’s best-selling 2004 novel The Arrangements of Love, in her kitty.
