The ‘Mass Maharaja’ of Telugu cinema, Ravi Teja, said that he doesn’t believe in god, nor does he pray or insist on performing ‘mahurats’ for his films. He said that for him, nature is god, and positivity is what he values more than anything else. The actor is gearing up for the release of his new film, Tiger Nageshwar Rao.

In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, he was asked about spirituality and his relationship with religion. Asked if he prays, he said in Hindi, “Absolutely not.” Asked if he believes in god, he said, “No, I believe in nature. Nature is my god. I don’t believe in praying daily and ‘mahurats’ and things of this kind. Nature, positivity, I enjoy my work.”

Ravi Teja said that he is also a ‘very private person’, and has become more protective of his privacy in the last decade or so. “I have never been bored in my life. I find it strange when people complain that they are bored, and I wonder if they’re wrong or if I’m wrong for thinking differently.” He said that his philosophy in life is to not waste time, and to focus on doing the things that he enjoys, such as watching films, working out, eating well.

Best known for his action comedies, Ravi Teja was last seen in the Chiranjeevi-starrer Waltair Veerrayya, which debuted to strong box office response earlier this year, and the psychological thriller Ravanasura, which failed critically and commercially. In Tiger Nageshwar Rao, which is also getting a Hindi dubbed release, he will be joined by Anupam Kher, Nupur Sanon and Jisshu Sengupta in supporting roles.
