Devara co-stars Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan on who is the ‘cooler’ superstar: ‘There is no compromise…’ 

While the trio regaled the audience with shared experiences of shooting Devara, and responding to the shenanigans of Kapil Sharma and his team, one of the cute and clever moments of the show was when they were discussing the rumours that were being spread about them. When asked about who wins a war between husband and wife when it comes to controlling the AC temperature in the bedroom, Saif said that he has come to a compromise with his wife and superstar Kareena Kapoor. “I don’t like to sleep in a warm room, but she likes it a little warmer. We have compromised at 19 degrees,” announced Saif, which piqued a sense of incredulity in the mind of Jahnvi, who quickly argued that 19 degrees is not warm by any stretch of the imagination. “I am happy, and I hope she’s happy too,” said the Omkara actor, who went on to argue that this compromise is the result of a well thought-out system that benefits everyone. 

Jr NTR chimed in to reveal that unlike his next Hindi film, War 2, which has him sharing screen space with Hrithik Roshan, the war for the AC remote in his residence was rather simple and straightforward. “There is no need for a compromise because I win the battle. My wife (Lakshmi Pranathi) is extremely sweet, and allows me to have my way.” 

Now, the big question… Who is the cooler superstar? Is it Jr NTR? Is it Saif Ali Khan? Or is it Kareena and Lakshmi who have let go of the AC remote?

Devara, which is currently making waves at the box-office, is the second biggest opener of 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD. The film, which is a duology, has opened to Rs 172 crores at the global box-office, and has easily breached the Rs 120 crore mark domestically on Day 2 with the Telugu version alone making upwards of Rs 100 crore.
