With just days left for the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun confirmed that the shooting has been wrapped up, bringing to a close his five year journey with the character Pushpa Raj.

When there are just days left for the release of a much-awaited pan-Indian project, there are various kinds of updates that the audience might expect. There might be a trailer release. There might be a music release. There might be a booking opening update. But it is clear that everything about Pushpa 2: The Rule will be a point of discussion as Allu Arjun revealed that the shooting of the movie has finally been wrapped up.

Sharing a BTS still of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the actor wrote, “Last day, Last shot of Pushpa. 5 years Journey of Pushpa completed. What a journey.”

This update has confirmed that Pushpa 2 might just be the final instalment of the franchise, and the clock has started ticking in this race against time for the makers. They are simultaneously working on the promotional campaign for the film, which is set to hit theatres on December 5. After being part of successful pre-release events in Patna and Chennai, team Pushpa 2 is expected to assemble in Kochi for the next leg of promotions.

The Sukumar directorial, which features Allu Arjun in the titular role, would also see Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprise their roles from the original. Other actors returning for the second part are Prathap Bhandari, Sunil, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Ajay Ghosh, Rao Ramesh, and Ajay. Pushpa 2: The Rule will also have Jagapathi Babu playing a pivotal role.

However, all is not well with camp Pushpa 2 as Devi Sri Prasad, who won the National Award for his work in the first part, is speculated to have been replaced by the makers for the sequel. While the songs would still have the DSP stamp, it is said that Thaman and Sam CS will take care of the background score for certain portions of the much-awaited sequel.

Pushpa 2 budget and expectations

Made on a whopping budget of almost 400 crore, Pushpa 2: The Rule is billed to be one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema. However, the makers are confident that the pre-release business and hype would help the Allu Arjun film enter the coveted Rs 1000 crore club.

The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Pushpa 2: The Rule has already broken records in the US for its pre-release booking, and is expected to make a lot of noise in the overseas markets as well.
