Sheezan Khan says he was diagnosed with PTSD after he got out of jail, says Tunisha Sharma was his ‘unbreakable shield’
Sheezan Khan opened up about his time in prison and how it affected his mental and emotional state.

Months after he walked out of jail, having been arrested by the police for allegedly abetting the suicide of his co-star Tunisha Sharma, actor Sheezan Khan has opened up about how his days in prison took a toll on him mentally and emotionally. Mentioning that jail was a place that could break a person, not just once but on a daily basis, Sheezan recalled that every minute there felt endless.
Pointing out that while a good chunk of people, whom he considered close, turned their back on him, Sheezan told ETimes that the others were busy sensationalising the story without waiting for the truth to come out. He also pointed out that his family members were dragged into controversies unfairly during these trying times. “They received so much hatred for no fault of theirs. It was a very dark moment for me,” he added.
Maintaining that he had full faith in his family, lawyer and the judiciary, Sheezan, however, stated that the incident changed his life forever.

Mentioning that he felt like a complete stranger at his own home after being released on bail, Sheezan said that he couldn’t sleep properly for about 70 days after stepping out of jail and was later diagnosed with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Asserting that Tunisha meant the world to him, Sheezan noted that her untimely passing has left a void in his life that can never be filled. “If she had been here, she would have been my unbreakable shield. She’ll forever be my Tunni, someone I deeply cared for. A part of Sheezan has gone with her,” he added.

Television actor Tunisha Sharma, 20, was found dead on the set of a serial in Vasai in Palghar district on December 24, 2022. Meanwhile, the police registered an FIR against Sheezan on the basis of a complaint by Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma, and arrested him.
In the FIR, the police stated that the two were in a relationship and broke up 15 days ahead of Tunisha’s suicide. She was said to have been upset about the breakup. The Waliv police later submitted an over 500-page chargesheet in the case in which they charged Sheezan with abetment to suicide.
Sheezan and Tunisha worked together in the TV serial Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.
