The upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show will see Gumraah actors Mrunal Thakur and Aditya Roy Kapur as guests. The thriller will see Kapur in a double role, while Thakur is set to play a police officer. In a promo shared by Sony TV, Kapil Sharma asked Thakur whether she too indulges in investigations in real life, and quizzed Kapur on his claims that he is ‘aalsi’ (lazy).

The promo shared by Sony TV starts with Sharma informing fans about Thakur’s role in Gumraah. He then asks her if she has tried to solve a case or investigate a crime in real life. While a part seems to have been edited out, the actor says that mothers usually don’t keep jewellery in safe places, and to find it, one needs to sit them down and then ask about the time they wore or saw it last. Her comment leaves Sharma amused and he says that this was such a big revelation made by Thakur. The actor is seen getting visibly embarrassed by his remarks.

On the other hand, Kapil Sharma tells the audience that Aditya Roy Kapur, in one of his previous interviews, mentioned how he is lazy. The latter seems unsure about the comment but smiles saying, “Really?” The comedian then asks the actor to jot down five points about being lazy. To this, he replies that one gets a lot of free time and “there are three-four other benefits too.” Sharma exclaims that he’s being lazy in this matter too and not giving a concise answer.

Recently, in a chat with indianexpress.com, Mrunal Thakur had opened up about picking Gumraah after Sita Raman. “It is because it is a genre that I wanted to explore; it is something that I have never done before. The fact that I felt I am good at emotional scenes, so just take that away from me and there’s no emotion, you have to just deliver your dialogues with minimum words but it should land right there, it should pierce the audience’s heart. With Gumraah, I have broken my inhibitions. I like murder mysteries. I have always been a fan of films which are in the thriller genre. I thought if I wanted to start exploring the genre, Gumraah should be the first one to begin with,” she said.

The film will be released on April 7.
