Helena Bonham Carter and Rebecca Hall have boarded ’12 Years A Slave’ director Steve McQueen’s TV drama ‘Codes of Conduct’.

The drama has been described as a provocative exploration of young African-American Beverly Snow’s (Devon Terrell) experience entering New York high society, with an ambiguous past.

Bonham Carter will play the role of Esther Kaufmann, a woman born into a prominent Jewish family in Manhattan who is an author and psychiatrist. She eventually crosses paths with Snow.

Hall, best known for her role in ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, will play the role of Rebecca Rotmensen, the eldest child of a New York billionaire. She will emerged as Snow’s foremost rival. McQueen co-wrote the pilot script alongside World War Z’s
Matthew Michael Carnahan.

McQueen will direct the pilot which marks his debut for television.
