Ashneer Grover receives invite to join Bigg Boss as wild card contestant, takes jibe at Salman Khan: ‘Bhai se toh pooch le’

Ashneer Grover has received an invitation to join Bigg Boss as a wild card contestant.

For those unversed, the public friction between the two has been brewing for quite some time. Earlier, on a podcast, Ashneer Grover claimed that during a sponsored ad shoot with Salman Khan, the actor’s manager allegedly informed him that Salman wouldn’t take a photo with him. When Ashneer appeared on Bigg Boss 18, Salman directly confronted him on national television. Addressing the incident in Hindi, Salman said: “Meeting was not held with you but with your team. Maybe you were also present there. We have not had any discussions. I saw what you said. You presented that we befooled you. This is wrong. Those numbers were wrong.”

Ashneer responded with an apology, stating that he had no intention to disrespect the actor. Salman, however, wasn’t convinced: “The way you are talking, you did not have the same attitude in that video. I do not feel bad about anything but it is not right to give a wrong impression about anyone. I just got to know that you are coming here. I did not know your name also. Since I had seen your video, I recognized your face. I think you should be careful about how you present yourself.”

Adding another layer to the ongoing narrative, earlier this year at an event in NIT Kurukshetra, Ashneer Groveer openly addressed the controversy again. He didn’t hold back: “Faltu ka panga leke apna competition khada kiya usne. Main toh shanti se gaya tha jab mereko bulaya. Ab drama create karna ke liye aap kisiko bol do, arey main toh aapse mila hi nahi. I don’t even know your name. Abey naam nahi jaanta toh bulaaya kyun tha? (He created unnecessary competition by picking a fight. I had gone peacefully when I was called. And now, to create drama, he’s telling everyone, ‘Oh, I never even met you. I don’t even know your name.’ If you didn’t know my name, then why did you call me?)”
