Ankita Lokhande recalls when she fell from a moving local train in Mumbai: ‘That was my last train journey’

In her new interview, Pavitra Rishta fame Ankita Lokhande revealed why she stopped travelling by the local train in Mumbai pretty early on.

Actor Ankita Lokhande loves Mumbai rains and doesn’t understand why people complain about it. But she admits she has never travelled in public transport to understand the problems faced by people on the roads during the rain. In her new interview, the Pavitra Rishta fame actor revealed why she stopped travelling by the local train in Mumbai pretty early on.

She told Mashable India, “I am very scared of trains. Once, I fell from the local train.” Ankita remembered being at the Churchgate railway station and boarding a fast train while her friends had taken the slow train. Her friends asked her to get down from the fast train and she jumped out of it.

“As I jumped out of it, I tumbled. I somehow survived,” Ankita said while adding, “That was my last train journey. Anyways I have been scared of trains since childhood.” Ankita Lokhande, who originally hails from Indore, has spent over twenty years in Mumbai. She now lives with her husband Vicky Jain in the city.

Ankita Lokhande has been a popular name in the Hindi television industry, courtesy her debut TV show Pavitra Rishta. She stayed away from the big screen because of her unpleasant casting couch experience but took up Kangana Ranaut’s 2019 film Manikarnika and Baaghi 3. Her third Bollywood outing, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, helmed by Randeep Hooda will soon hit the theatres.

The actor was last seen on television in the Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss 17. Though she was the top contender for the trophy, she lost it to Munawar Faruqui and ended up in the fourth position.
