Actor Ankita Lokhande invariably made headlines when she spoke about the late Sushant Singh Rajput on Bigg Boss 17. The actor was often asked about Sushant, whom she dated for many years, on the show and she gave unfiltered responses about him and their relationship.

Ankita Lokhande was ecven advised by her family to not discuss Sushant so much on the show. This even became a topic of discussion during the Bigg Boss press conference where she mentioned that she had a lot of respect for the late actor and she wanted to tell good things about him to the world. While a section of the netizens thought it was to gain sympathy, in an exclusive chat with indianexpress.com, Ankita explained why she spoke about her ex-late Sushant Singh Rajput so much.

Addressing the claims of playing the sympathy card, Ankita said, “I would have even spoken about Sushant outside if I felt someone was inspired by him. If that person knew I was related to Sushant, I would want to tell them a story that I knew about Sushant. There is nothing wrong, I am not telling people my story, I was telling them about him. So let people say what they want to.”

She also added, “I don’t get bothered about playing a sympathy card or offending Sushant’s fanbase. I know I can get abused by them, but when I know some good things about him, why should I keep quiet? I would even talk about my father who has played a very important part in my life. Anyone who has been a part of my life, I will speak about them because they inspire me also somewhere to live a better life. If I can inspire someone who wants to be like Sushant, I will speak about him to that person.”
