First-time finalists Jharkhad and Haryana have had a dream run into the summit clash, after having dominated their respective groups in the campaign.
Jharkhand enjoyed a flawless campaign in the group stage under Ishan Kishan, winning all of their seven games. Even in the Super League stage, the side only missed out on a win in their final match against Andhra before making through to their first-ever SMAT final. Haryana had qualified as the second-ranked team from Elite Group C, but found themselves topping a challenging Super League group that also conprised Mumbai, Hyderabad and Rajasthan.
