Amitabh Bachchan recalled how he failed his Physics exam in college and regretted taking up science.

The actor, who studied at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi graduated in 1962 with a BSc degree.
He shared with a contestant on KBC 15, “I took BSc and I was so horrified. It wasn’t easy. I took the wrong subject. Somehow I tolerated it for three years. I used to mug up all the answers in two months. At first, I even failed my Physics exam. Then I appeared again and cleared it.”
After his college, Amitabh worked for a few years in a mining company near Kolkata. He soon moved to Mumbai and started working in the movies in 1969, and has been at it for over 54 years.
Amitabh is currently hosting the 15th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show has been on air since 2000, and out of the 15 seasons, Amitabh has hosted 14 of them. The 80-year-old actor, on the 1000th episode of the show, emotionally revealed that when he took up the show, he was in a bad space financially. He shared emotionally, “Uss samay humko pata nahi tha, sab log keh rahe they ke aap film se television mein jaa rahe hain, bade parde se chhote parde par aa rahe hain, aapki image ko nuksaan hoga. Lekin humari apni kuch paristhitiyan aisi thi ke mujhe laga ke… Filmon mein kaam jo hai wohh mil nahi raha tha, lekin pehle broadcast ke baad jiss tarah ke reaction aane shuru hue, phir aisa laga ke puri duniya mil gayi hai (At that time, I had no idea what would happen. People would warn me that moving from the big screen to the small screen would harm my career. But circumstances compelled me to take this on. You see, I wasn’t getting any films at that time, but after the show premiered, the kind of reactions I received made me believe that the world was with me).”
Amitabh is still actively working in the movies. The actor was recently seen in a cameo appearance in R Balki’s Ghoomer starring Abhishek Bachchan. He will next be seen in Vikas Bahl’s Ganapath, also starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon.
