Vettaiyan song Manasilaayo: The much-anticipated first track from director TJ Gnanavel’s upcoming action drama Vettaiyan, starring “Superstar” Rajinikanth in the lead role, is finally here and it’s an absolute Thalaivar banger, brimming with the essence of dappankuthu. Titled “Manasilaayo (Understood?),” a phrase frequently used by the character Varman (Vinayakan) in Rajinikanth’s last outing Jailer, the song serves as a tribute to the superstar and the qualities that make him the undisputed Thalaivar (leader).

The four-minute lyrical video includes glimpses from the actual song sequence and features Malayalam “Lady Superstar” Manju Warrier, who plays a key role in Vettaiyan. Blending Tamil and Malayalam words and aesthetics, the song is poised to become an instant trendsetter as a dance number. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with lyrics by Super Subu and Vishnu Edavan, “Manasilaayo” features vocals from Malaysia Vasudevan, Yugendran Vasudevan, Anirudh Ravichander and Deepthi Suresh. The choreography is by Dinesh.
