Kannada actor Upendra has voiced his thoughts on fellow actor Darshan’s recent arrest linked to the alleged murder of Renukaswamy, a case that has captivated national attention. Upendra took to X to share his concerns and advocate for an impartial and transparent investigation into the high-profile case.

In his post, Upendra stated, “The investigation which has been going on for the past few days is not only being watched in Karnataka but across India. Awaiting impartial decision and justice in the trial of this high-profile case.”

He highlighted the growing suspicions among Renukaswamy’s family, the public, the media, and Darshan’s fans. To address these concerns, Upendra suggested several reforms aimed at enhancing transparency in high-profile investigations.

“In any case, the video footage of the trial of the case and all the details of the witnesses should be shared by the police with the families of the concerned persons from time to time. It should become a law. (In the past, the police used to record the details of interrogation in writing, but now technology has advanced so much that everything can be recorded and streamed live.)” Upendra emphasized.

He further clarified that a transparent trial would prevent evidence tampering, interference by influential individuals, and corruption.

Earlier, celebrities like Divya Spandana, Ram Gopal Varma, and Kichcha Sudeep also spoke out about the case. Sudeep said, “The family of the deceased deserves justice. That girl deserves justice. Renukaswamy, who died on the streets, deserves justice. The unborn child deserves justice. Above all, everyone should have faith in justice, and justice should prevail in this case.”

The controversy centers on Darshan, his partner Pavithra Gowda, and ten others, who have been arrested for the alleged murder of Renukaswamy. According to reports, Renukaswamy had sent derogatory messages to Pavithra, leading to his abduction and subsequent death at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru.
